Churchill: Rape and pillage?! Cuomo rhetoric is over the top

Albany There's plenty to dislike about the Republican tax reform plan, which is almost certain to become law before the end of the year. It will probably exacerbate income inequality. It should do more to help working-class families. It seems designed to help GOP donors more than workaday voters. It will worsen the deficit. But the tax plan is producing one unexpected benefit: It is causing Gov. Andrew Cuomo to lose his mind — and revealing even more about the nastiness of his character. Rather than simply debating the tax plan, our loquacious governor called the House members from New York who voted for it "modern-day Benedict Arnolds." They are guilty of treason, Cuomo claims.
