Ja Rule works hard and entertains

Clifton Park When I was 15, one of my best friends was a Ja Rule fan. I have fond memories of riding in his Honda Civic as he blasted "Rule 3:36" from the Sony Discman he hooked into the car's stereo via the cigarette lighter. Not a hip-hop or pop music fan in the year 2000, I remember not being particularly impressed and figured that by the time I was an adult, Ja Rule wouldn't really matter anymore. For proof on just how wrong my teenage self would be, fast-forward nearly 20 years later to Ja Rule's performance Friday nght at Upstate Concert Hall. Rule worked hard to entertain and offered up a hit-filled set that had the capacity crowd singing and dancing through nearly the entire show.
